The initiative to produce this CD, which I dedicate to my parents and to my children Mónica, Alexandre, Vicente, Rosa, and Laura, came after a concert (at Teatro da Trindade) and a visual arts exhibition ( in Brotéria), about my grandfather, the composer Ruy Coelho, organized in 2022.
We kept the concept of taking advantage of the dissemination of Ruy Coelho's work to promote the creation of new works by contemporary artists. So, we invited Luísa Gonçalves to interpret the Promenades Enfantines at Paris, a 1935 piano piece, with an impressionist nature and polytonal moments, and improvised based on it.

Ruy Coelho (1889-1986), studied in Lisbon, Berlin, (Humperdinck, Max Bruch, and Schönberg), and Paris. He was the only musician in the group of Portuguese Modernist artists being close to Almada Negreiros and Santa-Rita Pintor.
